Franklin Neighborhood Matchmaker Family #4
For our next Franklin Neighborhood Matchmaker, we’re looking at a family who wants convenience, luxury and more square footage.
Our last family was willing to give up some convenience for more land and privacy. But this family has a different priority: they want the luxury home AND the convenient location.
Meet Family #4: The Upgraded Lifestyle Seekers
Family #4 is moving to Franklin with a $2M-$3M budget, and they want to take advantage of what that can get them here.
They have 2-4 kids and are looking for a beautiful, spacious home with high-end finishes, possibly a pool and plenty of room for the family. They enjoy hosting friends and family, and they need a space for when family comes to visit them.
But they don't need acres of land. They'd rather have a beautiful home in a great neighborhood that's close to restaurants, shopping, schools and activities.
They want to feel like they're getting a beautiful home and an upgraded lifestyle.
Budget: $2M-$3M
🛏️ 5+ 🛁 4+
Their wish list:
4,500+ sq ft
Beautiful, high-end finishes
Great outdoor space and possibly a pool, or room to put in a pool
Great schools
Desirable neighborhood
Restaurants, shopping + activities nearby
Convenient location
Doesn't need a huge lot or tons of privacy
These are the neighborhoods I'd put on their short list:
Westhaven (Franklin) – Westhaven is hard to beat for the family that wants resort-style living. They can find larger, high-end homes with pools while also getting community pools, restaurants, trails, events and built-in community. There is a golf course they can join in the neighborhood. Plus, everyday conveniences are close by.
The Hamilton (Franklin) – A great option for a family looking for a newer, luxury home that is a mile from the conveniences in Westhaven and 5 miles to downtown Franklin. Homes here are more contemporary/modern, on lots that average .4 acres, and beautifully designed. This is a brand new neighborhood with 58 lots and some homes won’t be completed until 2027.
Colletta - Brand new luxury neighborhood with homes built by some of the best custom builders in the area. This neighborhood will have resort-style amenities, parks, & sidewalks. It’s located off of South Carothers Rd near Lockwood Glen. Lots in here range from a quarter acre to about half an acre.
Harts Landmark - This neighborhood is located in the Grassland area of Franklin (northwest side of Franklin) and was built around 2016. You’re 10 minutes to Cool Springs, but it also feels more rural in this location so you’re away from the hustle and bustle. Lots are about a third of an acre. No neighborhood amenities if that’s important to you.
Legends Ridge - Located in the Grassland area of Franklin, too. This gated neighborhood was built mostly in the early 2000’s. Most lots are about an acre and you’re 10 minutes to Cool Springs.
Lookaway Farms (Franklin) – Located on the east side of Franklin, this neighborhood broke ground around 2020 and offers more modern homes and floorplans. There are sidewalks and walking trails here and many homes have private pools. This neighborhood is zoned for Clovercroft Elementary, Woodland Middle and Ravenwood highschool, which is a sought after combination and can be hard to find.
The Preserve at Echo Estates (Franklin) – If they want a more established, custom-home feel, located near The Factory, downtown Franklin and Cool Springs, I'd put this one on the list. The homes are beautiful and the neighborhood is surrounded by trees. It gives you more of an estate feel, but you're still tucked right into Franklin and close to schools, shopping and restaurants. Most lots are a little over half an acre.
